Soldier shot in drive-by on Fort Bragg

Fort Bragg, N.C. — The search for a gunman who shot a soldier shut down Fort Bragg early Sunday, a military spokesman.
A 23-year-old soldier was shot around 3 a.m. near Yadkin Road and Reilly Street, which is at the edge of the grounds of Fort Bragg, base spokesman Tom McCollum said.
The soldier was taken to Womack Army Medical Center. His identity and condition haven't been released.
Police believe the gunmen is driving a silver Impala, McCollum said.
Military police are inspecting all outbound traffic from Fort Bragg. Inbound and outbound traffic to the base was shut down completely for about an hour after the shooting.
