I've always had geo-tagging disabled.

Good advice there, TS.

Geo-tagging disabled here also.

I don't post cell phone pics anywhere, and I think Twitter is retarded.

I am doing the FB thing, but never from my phone. In fact, I don't use my phone for anything that I need to log into, except for occasionally the forums.

I see no need for social networking or email on my phone. If I'm that far away from a computer and somebody has something for me that can't wait, they can just call me or text me.

There is a quick and easy way to disable Geo-Tagging on an Android phone: Settings>Security and Location> Uncheck "Enable GPS satelites"

Or you can disable it for specific applications. Camera, for example is: Camera>Menu>Settings> Uncheck "Store location in pictures"

My kids are grown and gone.

My wife is likewise.

I don't have any bunny rabbits

Bring on the stalkers! :D

You don't have to worry about Facebook as it automatically strips metadata from jpeg pictures you post on it, so the pictures don't retain the GPS info. For other websites, you can strip metadata from jpeg (http://www.digitalconfidence.com/downloads.html) yourself. Of course, you can also disable geotagging in your phone altogether.

You really trust 'em? I don't. You'd be amazed at the things I was able to pass through FB embedded in pictures. (Steganography project)

Thanks for the info. Never posted any pictures from my phone, but I do check my Facebook profile from it at times. Just disabled geo-tagging to be on the safe side. Yet another reason I love this site.
