I read today that the US is allowing the Hmong refugees in Loas to immigrate.
This is headlined in the Guardian as " US pays debt at last to Vietnam war allies".
They will have to learn alot to adapt to the US I am sure. One old man is quoted :
""The Americans deserted us in 1975," Mr Yang said. "We fought for them for 12 years and then at the end of the war they just left. It really hurt. It's like tears have run down my face ever since and this help now is wiping them away."
This situation is a much larger version, perhaps (except to the individuals of course) to the ex South Lebanese army personal and their families after Israel pulled out.
Any thoughts? ...
