On my bookcase in the living room is one old beret. It bears the flash of SF Command.
In my closet, on the shelf, in a cardboard box I have pictures, hundreds of pictures. Some of which are posted on here.
At eye level, a M-18 Claymore Mine reading "Front Towards Enemy".
3 packs of Trophy chew, a box of 22 LR's to snipe squacks, a book called "Black Light" and three remotes.

Just this... :D
Given to me by a 10th Group friend.
My diplomas from Columbus College and Indiana University, the flag from my Dad's coffin and his 'shadow box' from WW2, a few memory trinkets.

A picture that is on my shelf:
A "Free" Kuwait, just outside of the American Embassy. Two kids thanking me for freeing their country. See that kid on the left, she took my dog tags for a "souvenir"..... I wonder if they are on her shelf...;)

What's on your wall or shelf around the house or office to take you back about your current or prior service. Pictures are best.
WTF kind of thread is this? You have a Doll in your front room?
Really?

Looks like we're in the same boat. Figure I'll be single for a while, so the "man house" should remain (for now). Recently moved (again), so I'll be setting up the multiple shelves and "man things" after I return from my next school.
Past shelves/walls have been fairly simplistic. Shelf usually included a small display of challenge coins, my Drill Sergent's Army Values tag (he gave it to me on graduation) and a Silver Dollar and accompanying thank you letter (first salute at my buddy's commissioning, back when I was an NCO). The wall had my college degrees and the flag from my grandmother's grave (Navy hospitalman).
My "man cave" is in my garage, so I have the few items I have framed hanging up in there. I have a couple of guidons that haven't yet made it into frames...and hundreds of pictures.
What reminds me most of my military service, though, are my friends - and a large number of us are still in contact even after the passage of several years. Through the magic of the internet and the grace of God, we've all been able to get in contact with some of our mentors as well. Those relationships are one of my greatest treasures.

I have the SOA CMH print that Bob Noe worked his fanny off on. I paid for it at SOAR 2006, if I recall correctly? The number is 18/250.
Add a God Bless America Poster framed, plus an I'M Hooked poster framed. It is merely a fly fishing poster with flies, feathers, hackle, tinsel, an old newton's line dressing can, etc.
The last poster reminds me of dressing lines, plus the memories I have of my father teaching me to fly fish. He was a purist, but; he damn sure showed me he could twitch wets and make them look like they were about to fly off.

This is the wall next to my chair and laptop. I have my son's boots that he wore out getting through Selection on top of a book case and then on another bookcase his boar skull and my daughters 707 yard mule deer head.
She-Bear only allows limited space in the Cave.. I have a small shadow box hanging with my 1st beret from 1969.
The beret has the old 20th SF flash. When subdued rank 1st came into use, we could not get any in South Florida. So I took my oldest silver set, polished them into brass and let them age. :D
Shortly there after, word came down, No berets in the field, Boonies with fatigues, Berets with class A's. So, Beret #1 was retired..

Let's see, a few beer steins from Germany, a miniture bronze Eifel Tower, one of those small wooden Russian dolls that keep getting smaller when taken apart, my fathers class A uniform from Korea is hanging in the closet next to mine, and lastly, a nice Mosin-Nagant leaning in the corner.
New Years resolution - clean room and sell off all uneeded junk. :D
