The wins of both Piersol and Hahm were protested. IMO Piersol made an illegal turn but it may have amounted to tenth of a second not two whole seconds. In both cases I think the protests were justified but were not presented in a correct or timely manner.

Several analysts going over the scoring agree that the Korean was denied 1.2 points bonus for difficulty that all other competitors got. However the protest wasn.t launched until yesterday.

The people who challenge rules need to comply with the rules also -- simple.

As one analyst said: "At some point in time the games have to be over.":boohoo

As for Piersol's turn, they only showed the film once and IMHO with good reason. The turn is to be in one continuous motion. Phelps rotated onto his stomach and completed at least one additional kick prior to flipping,

Edited to change Phelps to Piersol. I don't believe someone hasn't roasted me over that slip.
