Wednesday morning I had two more stents put into my heart, planned and it was preventative, and stayed overnight. Hospitals are exhausting. I think I slept an hour, but I'll tell that story another time.

My friend Becky calls me Wednesday afternoon, she is the FRG leader for the ILARNG unit I volunteer with...I'm now the secretary. Anyway our former CO, who just returned from deployment with our C-Troop Soldiers in August/September, and his wife had twins in July. I was shocked to learn that baby Cooper died, sounds like he suffocated. From what I heard so far he managed to turn himself over onto his tummy and well...they found him dead in his crib. :( There will be no wake, we're going to a visitation/mass at the church Saturday morning.

Please pray for the family in their time of grief. I cannot even imagine how they explained this to Charlie, their 3 yr old (I think he's three now), and how they'll eventually have to explain it to Max, Cooper's twin.

Oh yeah, and my debit card info was stolen and evidently used last Saturday. I normally check my account every few days but being in the hospital prevented this. This morning I wanted to go to the store and pick up a few items prior to the snow storm coming in tonight...card denied. So I spent several hours at the bank and the police station filling out a formal report instead of laying around on my couch "resting". $300+ dollars charged to some online company based in England. Could have been worse I suppose, but thankfully the bank immediately shut the account down.

Considering I was well schooled as my brother wrote the book on internet security way back when (literally, so please shop at Amazon with confidence ;) )...well I was surprised. But it can and does happen to anyone.

Thanks for the prayers everyone...and I appreciate the get well wishes. All is well with me.

I will tell you that the visitation/funeral this morning for baby Cooper was one of the hardest services I've been to, and that includes services for my own loved ones. Captain W was a pallbearer for his own son...the moment he stepped up to that tiny little casket was one I won't ever forget.

It just isn't right that a parent has to bury their child. Hold yours close tonight.
