I served in c 3/319th afar in Afghanistan and made a promise to myself if I ever re- joined the army I would only go sf. I am trying to at this point and am excited I believe I will start the exercises in the "get selected" book, let me know if there is anything else out there. I was a pt stud when I was in, but have a little work to do now a few years later. Pt was 320-330 consistently when I was in. Now lol. I have a long road but I will get back in shape no prob. Please let me know if there are any good resources out there to help me in my journey.

Thanks, Joel

You may, just may want to work on your attention to detail while preparing for SFRE. I assure you we will be paying attention when the time comes. ;)

Understood. Could you tell me a bit more. I know from being at ft bragg that I need to pay attention to detail. I have talked with a lot of sf guys and mostly I was told to work on pt, ruck marching, and land nav. Let me know if I am missing anyhting.

Look back thru your first two posts here.

While you may consider the things I have highlighted trivial, we do not. It is the small stuff that we sweat - as when guys get tired, are cold, hungry, etc...the small stuff will get overlooked and those small things will grow monumentally. If you can't be bothered to proof your posts what would lead us believe you will take the time to look back over the assembly of a weapon, recalculate a charge or medication dosage, or be sure you have enough batteries for a mission?

See where this is going? We aren't perfect either and we do make mistakes but they don't occur because we are lazy or don't care to try; it's because we are human.

All that said, you would do well to begin your reading here with "A Message To Garcia" and then search/read "Situational Awareness." There is more here for you to read than you have the time to digest it.

Best of luck in your future endeavor.

2shay, unless you have already read everything here, I would recommend that you acquaint yourself to the Search button in the upper right hand toolbar and start using it.

You should probably avoid starting new threads or posting very much until you have done so.

Believe it or not, in the six years this board has been up, you are not the first one to ask for advice on SFAS/SFQC prep.
