All,

In following the advice of some of the QPs here not to purchase anything other than the standard Belleville boots for SFAS, I took my two new pairs in to have them re-soled (Ripple and AquaTred soles per Colonel Martin's book). Long story short, they informed me that Belleville 390s cannot be re-soled. Assuming that this is true, does anyone know if there is a boot that can be re-soled that is authorized for SFAS?

Thanks and V/R,

Many people resole the standard issue combat boots with a variety different soles. I know militarybootrepair.com does resoling.

If you have the 390 Deserts I wouldn't resole them. They are very reliable and sturdy. Mine served me well in selection. Just my 2 centavos though.

I agree, don't resole. There's no need. If you read some other posts, you'll find many that talk about those who did resole, had the soles falling off by the end of selection. Save your money.
