Nato troops repel insurgent attack in Afghanistan
This story also talks about the drug raid - but hey, it's good news so I thought it needed it's own thread.

"Nato says its forces in Afghanistan have killed at least 19 Taliban fighters who tried to storm a combat outpost under cover of darkness.
The attack happened at a base in Paktika province, bordering Pakistan.
The militants are reported to have attacked from all directions, using rifles and rocket-propelled grenades. .............."
Way to go troops.

In the middle of that article this little ditty,Mr Karzai said Thursday's raid had taken place without his government's permission and was a clear violation of Afghan sovereignty.
What he really meant was: shite Phuckers, now my brother, my cousin, my foreign secretary have lost their investment, and they'll calling me, wanting my money that Iran has been giving me. What I thought we were allies?

Another lesson from the Vietnam War. Tell your counterparts you are going on a mission to keep them in the loop BUT certain details about the mission should be omitted or tweak the actual specifics to protect our guys....

That's correct Mr. Karzai.

Teddy,
Your assessment is SPOT ON!
Here's the story (http://www.montrealgazette.com/news/Taliban+killed+failed+attack+NATO+outpost+report/3753537/story.html).
"Fresh information that we received from intelligence sources shows that 80 Taliban have been killed.
A statement from NATO's International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said the insurgents launched the attack at 1:30 a.m. Saturday "from all directions" using rocket-propelled grenades, mortars and small-arms fire.
Five ISAF soldiers were injured, but had kept fighting, it added.
"The coalition forces called for air weapons team and close-air support during the engagement. A coalition aircraft engaged an insurgent firing position with three precision-guided munitions," it said.
"The air weapons team also engaged a large number of insurgents near the outpost,"
Dear President Karzai,
Please accept our apology for the senseless and "clear violation of Afghan sovereignty". The operation involving the illicit drug trade that helps to fuel your countries rampant corruption obviously went very wrong....
We would hate for any future operations to be "met with a reaction from Afghanistan"
As a token of sincerity, I would like to cordially invite you to go and fornicate with yourself using a pointy steel rod.
Thank you for your service sir.
Have a nice day.
Dear NATO troops,
Thank you for your service gentlemen. Job well done.

That's correct Mr. Karzai.
And F.U.:D
Mr. Karzai should be "kindly" reminded that he wouldn't be in his current position if it weren't for U.S. service members and allies fighting and dying in Afghanistan. What a complete ungrateful asshat he is!
