Tony Blair's Sister-in-law Converts To Islam

Lauren Booth, the sister-in-law of former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Tony BlairTony Blair, has converted to Islam citing the holy experience she underwent while she was in Iran as the potent force behind her conversion.

The 43-year-old broadcaster and journalist, Lauren Booth, half sister of CherieCherie Blair, said that she had taken the decision six weeks ago when she was visiting the shrine of Fatima al-Masumeh in Qom, Iran. Her immediate return to United Kingdom from Iran was followed by her conversion to Islam.

Talking to The Mail on Sunday, Lauren said, "It was a Tuesday evening and I sat down and felt this shot of spiritual morphine, just absolute bliss and joy."
Lauren has shown her complete adherence to the Islamic injunctions, covering her head with a scarf, praying five times a day and abstaining from consuming alcohol.

"Now I don't eat pork and i read the Quran every day. I'm on page 60. I haven't had a drink in 45 days, the longest period in 25 years. The strange thing is, since I decided to covert I haven't wanted to touch alcohol and I was someone who craved a glass of wine or two at the end of a day."
Anti-Israel activist, Lauren Booth was always sympathetic to Islam and is a presenter for the Iranian news channel, Press TV.

The Hamas fundraiser was held on July 3, 2009 at the Mosque Foundation, and featured former UK far-left politician George Galloway as the keynote speaker. The event was held to raise money for Galloway’s Viva Palestina blockade-busting convoy to Hamas-controlled Gaza.


That Galloway was raising money for Hamas was hardly a secret. Four months prior to his appearance with Mustapha at the Mosque Foundation, Galloway presented a bag of cash to Hamas social minister Ahmad Kurd – a designated global terrorist according to the U.S. government – live on Al-Jazeera. For defying international sanctions, terrorist Kurd called Galloway “a hero”. As a result, Canada banned Galloway from re-entering the country on “national security” grounds.

Galloway’s U.S. fundraising for Hamas also caught the attention of Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA), chairman of the House Subcommittee on Terrorism, who sent letters to Attorney General Eric Holder, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman asking for an investigation into Viva Palestina’s activities.
