I had a nice layer of pea to grape-sized hail in the yard Tuesday afternoon. It made the day interesting. I was driving up to N. Central AZ when the events in Flag were unfolding. Rain - heavy at times - all the way up. (Understand that to most AZ drivers, a LIGHT rain is like blizzard conditions elsewhere.)

I was getting the car insurance policy out when it stopped.;)
We don't normally get stuff that big at this altitude. It was kind of surprising.
I think I'll hang a helmet in each outbuilding from now on.:eek:

Better hailstones than kidney stones. :eek:
Better hail than the tornados we had here. 27 train cars derailed. No serious injuries though. Very lucky for some. I work for the local ambulance company and all had to do was sit at our staging locations. Just mainly property damage.
