Another bottom feeding moron caught. Seems this ARIZONA judge ;) thinks posing as a war hero is a crime, espceially when you use it to defraud people. He must have been friends with the guy that owns the scottsdale gun club....;) Again, federal judges don't think this is a crime, its freedom of speech.

TS
P.S. he was not posing as an SF soldier so he does not "earn" special attention in the forum "The Hall of Shame".

PHOENIX - A Scottsdale man has been found guilty of fraud schemes after pretending to be a decorated Marine.

A judge found John W. Rodriguez guilty of 12 counts including fraud schemes and forgery.

Rodriguez was taken into custody in California back in July. A bench warrant had been issued when he failed to appear to a court date.

Rodriguez claimed to have some of the highest honors a soldier could have, but the truth is he never served and when all his lies unraveled, he took off.

His own confession was played in court. He said, "Look I know I did wrong and I am admitting to it. What I did was messed up and wrong. You guys served I didn't."

FOX 10 was there last summer when authorities raided his Scottsdale home. Officers pulled out dozens of uniforms and ribbons meant for the most-decorated soldiers. He even claimed to have the Navy Cross.

Investigators believe Rodriguez posed as a Marine for years. He even wrote a letter to a judge, saying he couldn't make a court date -- because he was being deployed to Fallujah, Iraq.

Rodriguez has not yet been sentenced.
