Anyone ever used these? I just picked up a pair of socks and gloves and was wondering if anyone had anything to say about them. The gloves seem to offer alot of dexterity and stretch compared to a regular goretex glove. The socks are thin enough to allow a lightweight hiking sock to be worn comfortably underneath, though I would imagine it could get pretty steamy after a while.

Yeah,
I got the gloves and socks and I've had them since 2000. It depends on what you're going to be doing (static, foot movt, or veh mvt) and whether it's military or LE for the socks and gloves.
I'm happy with the gloves, but I'm sure there's a better model out on the market now. The gloves lose their waterproofing after while and the socks just weren't comfortable for long foot movements.
I currently use the socks for work (LE) and for critical call outs during inclement weather and for that purpose it's excellent.

Once I wanted to try the socks and see if they were really waterproof. So I did a little ruck march in marshes. At the end, I was unable to say if they were waterproof or not, for the simple reason I sweated too much!
I weared a pair on cotton socks inside the sealskinz
I HEARD many people are not sweating that much with them.that was not my case, in that situation.
Once I did a 2-3 hours march with them, 55 lbs: no discomfort was noted.Except my socks were more........wet.
My conclusion: I just wear them if I am static, I mean really static. For me this is like a poncho: an annoyance if moving. For me and in that case sealskinz are waterproof against sweat.
Maybe I should have buy a larger pair to put over all socks? But in the same time the upper seal would not be as effective?

I wore mine one morining for PT in Korea. They worked great for a 4 mile run in the snow. I wore mine with a pair of moisture wicking socks.
