Trying to jail 500,000 people will certainly be the "Match head" for the fire to come.
I wonder if they'll all have NRA membership cards.

There's linkage: http://www.eutimes.net/2010/05/socialist-clinton-signs-treaty-to-ban-small-arms-in-america-civil-war-2-is-close/

And if I can locate them, the threads in this BB which branded returning Veterans as threats. imho, If that law passes it aim is to stifle dissent from those who swore an oath to protect and defend, and no others, as they want what BHO wants: One party power, no objection tolerated.

and the question posed on 03/2009 might be realized; what then?

Text of H.R. 1955 [110th]: Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007

http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=h110-1955

and what happened to it?

"......This bill never became law. This bill was proposed in a previous session of Congress. Sessions of Congress last two years, and at the end of each session all proposed bills and resolutions that haven't passed are cleared from the books. Members often reintroduce bills that did not come up for debate under a new number in the next session.

Last Action:
Oct 24, 2007: Received in the Senate and Read twice and referred to the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.
Related:

See the Related Legislation page for other bills related to this one and a list of subject terms that have been applied to this bill. Sometimes the text of one bill or resolution is incorporated into another, and in those cases the original bill or resolution, as it would appear here, would seem to be abandoned.
Votes:

Oct 23, 2007: This bill passed in the House of Representatives by roll call vote. The vote was held under a suspension of the rules to cut debate short and pass the bill, needing a two-thirds majority. This usually occurs for non-controversial legislation. The totals were 404 Ayes, 6 Nays, 22 Present/Not Voting. Vote Details......"

Troubling. Wouldn't take much "stretching" of those ideas in this bill to corral quite a few of us around here. :(

But Alex Jones is a million times more reliable than the source of this article

You beat me to it Pete. From reading the text, this would be a witch hunt. The members of the commission are appointed for the life of the commission. Their method of appointment seems quite unusual. What troubles me is; by my understanding of what I read; they would really not be accountable to anyone. Each member of the commission could conduct his or her own investigations as they pleased.

As was referenced in the EU article, and as I remember from grade school history, the McCarthy era conducted business in much the same way and was branded by history as one of our most egregious periods. Obviously, these people don't care about history.

It's starting to look like the hunt for the "Red's" that went on in the US from 47-57.
