I was interested when researching Murfreesboro, TN, as that is an area where we wish to retire (when we get really old). They have “approved” a 15 acre Muslim Cultural Center in this relatively isolated and small area.

I did a little more inquiry, and discovered mosques are in “small town” America – everywhere, but especially in the “Bible Belt”. In some areas of the South, there are more mosques than Baptist Churchs.

Tennessee mosque board member suspended after terror support revealed.
Mosaad Rawash, who was suspended from his position earlier this week after congressional candidate Lou Ann Zelenik publicly aired evidence about his open support for Islamic terrorism.
Another radical connection we have found for the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro comes from the MySpace page of one of the board members, Mosaad Rawash. Rawash’s MySpace page contains a pledge for members to support violent jihad and martyrdom of Palestinians fighting the Israelis.
