All,

Well he made his 5th Jump last night and I've got my Wings from '69 to Pin him with tomorrow!! He'll be in Pineland shortly!!

Those were the type I received in 1955............;)

Yes they are the Silver Pin-ons. I captured them back later, until he is not in the "Training/Barracks Mode"

I had the pleasure of pinning wings on my boy last august at Benning on National Airborne Day, what a great memory :)

Pinned my Wings on him this morning and he's on the Bus to Ft Bragg as I type!! They departed around 1400.

I remember my discussion with Blake at SHOT 2008, during the 10-8 forums dinner. He mentioned the frustration of not being in the military at that time, well that seems to be corrected :D Congrats to the both of you.

I'll be part of the FBNC welcome committee, although I won't be able to see him until Sunday. I'll make sure he gets a good tour of the post so he isn't completely screwed up.

Congratulations to you both. I remember getting my dad's OSS wings in 1965 when I graduated jump school. I couldn't have been prouder. When my brother graduated from OCS and then jump school in 1969, I pinned the wings on him.
