I guess it depends on what your definition of 'we' is.
This is pathetic.
This is pathetic
Dozer, In what sense is this pathetic? In the sense that that divide amongst us is so great, or is it the level of emotionally charged propaganda being produced, whose soul propose is to incite deep seeded visceral anger?

Dozer, In what sense is this pathetic? In the sense that that divide amongst us is so great, or is it the level of emotionally charged propaganda being produced, whose soul propose is to incite deep seeded visceral anger? The pathetic part is the mis-use of the pronoun "we". I assure you the makers of this video were most definitely not among the "we's" mentioned at the beginning of the video. I suspect these people should be more of an "us" (unmentioned in the video) who worked hard to ensure failure.
I realize this may come as a shock but I'm kinda liberal. (sorry, Teddy I tried to keep if from you for your own good). I was not crazy about GWB . . . ever (Teddy, I'm sorry) But when the SHTF I gave him the benefit of the doubt and let him do his job as he saw fit. To me GWB was the President -- whether I voted for him or not -- he made the call and I supported him to the best of my ability. Hell, I admit I had some doubts about the Yellow Cake; and thought the privatizing of the GWOT might be more beneficial to some investors; and when I thought back to my Law of Land Warfare classes I didn't remember the torture part . . . I still joined the Guard and I got on the plane.
These "us" types won't even see it it might work. And no ones' being asked to die for the economy.

I would have never guessed...........I am reasonably sure you aren't the type of liberal neighbor that would come in my yard at 10PM and piss on my 'NOBAMA-Say No to Socialism' yard sign or other more sinister things to do me harm because I may not agree with you.

Seems to me that 'WE' have people on both sides the isle who work hard to insure OUR failure when their Boy isn't sitting in office. Both sides have a rewards system built to bilk the tax payers and garner votes....and they want to keep that scam going.
As for the current administration, they have gone to extremes to dictate to me and you what we can have, how much we can have, how we can get it and who can get it, etc., etc......which is f-ked up IMO.
Liberal or Conservative it doesn't really matter as long as your an American first and foremost. But it seems to me that many are Democrats or Republicans first and being American comes in a distant third to entitlements for ME.

You hit that nail on the head. My card says No Party Affiliation.
Might wanna go read a bit of History on US elections - more than a few of them were really exciting - and a lot more so than what the political propaganda of this typically over-hyped upcoming event portends it to be.
IMO - the upcoming election will be yet another upcoming election promising a ULCC's worth of controversy and delivering the typical wheel barrow's worth of actual relevance...which will eventually lead to another upcoming election promising...and so on.
Personally - I don't see the necessity to dust off my pitchfork and rosette to man the barricades here in the USA for any liberté, égalité, fraternité political undertaking just yet.
However - YMMV - and so it goes...

MOO, a large part of what is wrong with contemporary politics is that we're preoccupied with superlatives. The concern that we are experiencing the "worst" this or the "most" that leads to us boxing ourselves in and missing opportunities for understanding, conversation, compromise, and reconciliation.
YMMV.

The reason we're in this fix is because too many people thought that too many elections were unworthy of their time and politicians from both groups of crooks have run roughshod over the Constitution. Every election has been important but too many people didn't care. Most of the electorate thinks that the Good and Plenty clause in the Constitution is real and as long as they get their handout everything is okie dokie.

For rancor and pivotal importance, I don't think this one will measure up to:
Au - H2O 64!
(Or, for that matter: "Ma, ma, where's my pa? Gone to the White House, ha ha ha!")

What's left of my brain just isn't getting the above. Either old age or an aversion to math. :p

Zonie,
I don’t know if you remember Au-H2O as a “bumper sticker”, but that was the only way we could get our POV on post without the MP’s telling us to remove the political stickers. I don’t think they picked-up on it until after the election.
“In your heart you know he is right” – 19 million of us voted that way

SnT,
Oh, how well I remember. I was a 10th grader here in Phoenix, AZ and we were very excited. I had a Au-H20 bumper sticker on my notebook.
Of course, LBJ and the Dems turned "In your heart, you know he is right" into "In your heart, you know he is nuts"!
