I was at B&N today picking up my oft delayed copy of Imperial Hubris , and while browsing I found a lovely little tome entitled Bush on the Couch . And I must say that it is amazing what can get published these days.

While I try to remain politically secular I do confess leaning more towards the left. However, there are some things one shouldn't do; it's one thing to criticize policy, but to condemn said policy based on...um, second and third hand psychoanalysis seems to be a bit much. I read a chapter before putting it down.

I did find this in my email tonite. Y'all should get a chuckle out of it...

George W. Bush: Presidential or Pathological? (http://www.ariannaonline.com/columns/column.php?id=722)

Here's a link to the publisher's propaganda.

Bush on the Couch (http://www.harpercollins.com/catalog/book_xml.asp?isbn=0060736704)

And another one for amazon.com with some reviews covering both ends of the spectrum. Bush on the Couch @ Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0060736704/104-2546822-7098305?v=glance)

This is neither condemnation or endorsement. Merely put put for dissemination, as it seems to have flown beneath the radar. As with all things, YMMV.

This election is destined to be a lot more than a bit much.

For example, Fidel Castro took much of Dr. Frank's book as fact. He quotes the Doctor (as well as other infamous ones such as Michael Moore, Richard Clarke, and Bob Woodward) extensively in his Moncada anniversary speech:
