A while back I received permission from TS to post some pictures from the STMP farm (and picnic) here. Things have gotten very busy here with trying to get some medical cards translated (we lost a Yard lady to a bee sting - in part due to a communications error so we are trying to get a medical advisory / translator card into the hands of every US Montagnard)

At any rate, here are the photos - Enjoy!

Montagnard Cultural Dance Troupe infront of the memorial. In the back ground you can see lists of SF and Montagnard dead (this us updated and posted at each Montagnard event)

Doc. Have a buddy at Mackall/Robin Sage who has become pretty tight with the Montagnard role players and their families. He's a civilian who wishes he went through SFQC and a great guy. I am sure he would like to help you out. What is the best way for him to get in touch with you?

I do have connections in NC and am down there quite often. Our Yards do a damn good job from what I understand at Robin Sage and a number of the SF guys come out for our picnics and such - PM sent

Y'Tlur Eban - one of the first Montagnards to work with the US during the Boun Enao experiment. He was a general in FULRO and is a close friend, he presented me with my first bracelet, a Rhade shirt and loin cloth and he makes a mean jar of numpai!

Here is is (arrow pointing to him) in the January 1965 National Geographic that details the Montagnard Uprising

Inside the long house before sleeping rooms were added. Not 100% traditional, but all of the logs were logged locally. The Yards wanted to borrow an elephant from the Asheboro zoo to put the logs up. When they were told by the STMP crew that the elephants were not for rent, the had a full on "Elephant resucue mission" planned. Only the quick thinking of a few former Mike Force NCOs were able to stop them: "Those elephants are African elephants and are no good for working"

A tractor helped get the large logs into place.

K'Ben - Nurse at Duc Lap. My old CSM (former officer turned NCO) was camp commander at Duc Lap for a while before going to Duc Co and still wears her bracelet. K'Ben is a sweet heart, she invited me to her son's high school graduation but I was unable to make it.

A surprise from a few trips ago. SWC came out and used the long house for part of Robin Sage. One of the STMP directors works with SWC and is wheel chair bound. The Robin Sage cadre came out and built a ramp on the back of the long house that is virtually inviable.
