I just learned a new word: kakistocracy---government by the least qualified or most unprincipled citizens.

That was quite amusing.

It's his arrogance that chaps my ass. Not that he could do anything about it but that he's trying to convince the world that he could if only George W hadn't been responsible for 9-1-1.

He's got a liberal solution to every disaster that comes along. The house is falling down around us and he's running around out in the yard saying, "Don't worry! I'm in control! I've appointed a Czar to look into it! "

Great idea, Bwana! Appoint a cronie butt-buddy of yours and don't dare look at the systemic fault of convoluted regulations and corrupt regulators. Here's an idea...blame Arizona!

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Every scam, grand idea or policy that Obama comes up with makes me believe he is following the strategy of South Park's "Underpants Gnomes". For Phase I, they run around stealing everyone's underwear and store them in their underground mines. Then in Phase III they make a huge profit. However, the question forever remains "What happens in Phase II?" To which their is no answer, because there isn't a Phase II.

They simply make a profit in Phase III, just like everything will work out, the earth will heal, the ice caps will recover their mass, the sun will come out, and everyone will be greatful, wealthy, etc. And that's all that matters so there is no need to ask annoying questions concerning the those bothersome details of how Obama's policies will actually be implemented.

Of course, the administration has one-upped the Underpants Gnomes by labeling anyone who doubts or questions O's policies or ideas as racists, alarmists, un-American, etc.

If I were him, I would listen to all of the people that have been coming up with all kinds of ideas lately. At least attempt to use some of them. Why has he dismissed all of international offers of assistance? The Dutch would have sent several skimmer vessels that would have been helpful at the very least. They are more worried about keeping Gov. Jindale quiet than anything else.

However, I do actually feel a little sorry for the President on this one. I mean, seriously, what exactly can he do?

In reality he isn't Brown Moses and he can't separate oil and water with a wave of his hand......right now I wish he was.

Mistake 1 - Janet Napolitano arrived on scene weeks prior to Obama to scope out the oily mess.

Mistake 2 - He 'appeared' or was portrayed as having sit on his nuts for a couple weeks and gallivanting around like Joe Cool.

Mistake 3 - After a couple weeks he flew down and did a photo op with a oil ball or a turd on a beach. His sleeves were rolled up but he did not pick it up. Whereas Bobby Jindal appears to have a photo op with Mike Rowe and Dirty Jobs.

Mistakes 4 - Jindal submits a plan for barrier islands. Napolitano says they need to determine the ecological effects and apparently it takes the Corps of Engineers 3-weeks to give it a Green Light. Somewhere in there Obama states its the first I have heard of it, we'll get right on it.

Mistake 5 - Jindal puts skimmer barges into action, the 'Obamas Coast Guard' shuts them down for inspection.

Obama would have done himself well to have set is itinerary aside, been a 1st responder, spent days not hours and got his hands dirty standing shoulder to shoulder with Jindal.

And then there is the 'Red tape' the figurative burning building and the pumper trucks putting out the flames only to have the vehicles inspectors arrive to shut them down for inspection while the house burns.

Maybe Jindal took a page a page from the Rahm Emmanuel playbook ;)

It's not what he can do but what he should have done. Show some damn leadership right out of the gate.
But that's not his thing. He's an organizer. I don't think he has a concept iof what leadership is.
Now he's trying to convince everybody he's been on top of things from the git-go.

Just once it would be nice to see something pro-active from the White House, but I don't think it will happen during this administration.

Show some leadership.

This is how the Prez shows leadership.

Sends his Attack Yorkies out to rag on the BP exec for going sailing - while he was out golfing.

"White House mocks BP CEO's yacht race, defends Obama golf"

"......But when asked about Obama's day Saturday, in particular his four hour golf game at a course near Washington, Burton said the president had the right to decompress a bit after a hard week.

"I don't think that there's a person in this country that doesn't think that their president ought to have a little time to clear his mind," Burton said.

"I think that a little time to himself on Father's Day weekend probably does us all good as American citizens," he said."

Is the Prez a man or is he a God? Little People work while God goes golfing. Wonder when the next White House shindig will be?
