You are just asking to get all fired up when the fans of le Club de hockey Canadien boo the Star Spangled Banner:p. I have been tempted to drive to the border and scream obscenities at them.

Nice game today on the road for the Hawks. It is good to take back the home ice advantage, though Chicago has been more than impressive on the road lately.

Been a Sharks fan for a couple years now and I gotta say it's been good to see solid playoff performance after and aggressive season. Here's hoping for a Stanley Cup in SJ's favor!

Oh, the fans are rude but not as rude as the folks in Quebec.

Gypsy-- do Hawk's fans despise the Pens as well? I was sad to see my Wings out of the playoffs, but I did a full-out happy dance when the Pens were smoked on their on ice. :D

Why yes...yes they do. But, not as much as they despise the Wings. :D Seriously I'm sick of the Pens, time for the Hawks to win.

I'll admit I used to be a very avid Devils fan. I would get into the games and get upset when they lost. But having been out of hockey for a number of years now I've slowly started watching less of it as well.

On the other hand, my passions have shifted from being a supporter of the Devils, to just an outright "I can't stand Crosby" fan. And the thing which killed me the most, he scores the winning goal against the US in the Olympics... just shoot me now.

Anyways, good games so far, I think the Flyers are gonna pull off their series unless Halat saves his team. As much as I disliked the Flyers, I've never actually seen a 3rd string goalie do so well.

If the Flyers make the Finals, I may have to go.

The Flyers are clicking right now, even after that loss, and they'll bounce back in game 4. As for the Sharks... ouch. They really are getting outworked. I picked San Jose and Philly as my pre-season matchup but it's not looking so hot. Chicago has the burners on and Byfuglien is playing like he's the 8 Million Dollar Man. San Jose Better pick it up if they want that elusive first Stanley Cup.

He has definitely taken advantage of his situations. I hate to think that should they win the Cup the Credit will be given to Toews and Niemi and not Byfuglien
(of course much of it will be due).

Penn,

They have a team here in Biloxi-Gulfport that gets about 2,500 to 3,000 fans a game.... :) This is a "new" team, the one last year folded........ I'm sure you know I played the game and do try to get there when I can but it's a 2 1/2 hour drive from my house and it's also $16 for mezzanine seats..............;)

You'll need to know my address as to where to send your check..............:D

I hope for your sake the Flyers are still in it come game 6. My prediction - 'Hawks in 6. I don't know if I would want to be anywhere near the arena that night should I be right.

Regardless - I hope you get to the game and have a great experience!

If seeing is believing, then I am unsympathetic to those twisted souls whose visual acuity is challenged; why the refusal to accept the dominating play of the future Stanley Cup Champions: The Philadelphia Flyers? Obviously, you're in serious denial. Flyers in 5, unless they get big time bonus money for a game 6 or 7 final & win.

I also have the Hawks in six on the board I am playing. Since I really have no dog in the fight, it will be nice to watch some high caliber hockey. If my prediction is wrong, I hope RL gets to see the Flyers raise the cup. That would be a great moment to witness, and I am sure he would share the memories with those of us here who have not seen Lord Stanley's Chalice raised in victory.

Indeed!

It was just...fabulous. As a long suffering fan for so many years (we're talking since the 70s) all I can say is that it was worth the wait. I bought all the newspapers today.

Now my stress level can go back to normal. Until next year. :D

Have to hand it to the Flyers, they never gave up and it was a great series.

Great run by the Flyers (SOB's). I thought they had a good chance against the perpetually overrated / non-loyal fan base having Dev's, but didn't think they would beat the Bruins or Habs (also SOB's). Inspirational play and they deserved to win a spot in the playoffs.

It was nice to see the long suffering Hawks win the Cup. Congratulations on now being tied for the fewest Cups of any Original Six team. :p
Knowing is not enough; we must apply.

Willingness is not enough; we must do.

I'm still aggravated by the comments from some Chicago players about Philly and it's fans as well as Bufflin's little exhibition at center ice. Win graciously you clowns.
See you next year when Campbell's headshot to Leino (no call), and the stick to Briere's face (ten stitches-no call) can be "avenged". :D
Thank you for a hell of a fun playoff run Flyers!

Although I would have liked to see the Flyers win I have no problem with Chicago taking the Cup. I'm not really a fan of Pat Kane scoring the GW goal, but seeing the team not hand him the Cup until the end was priceless. He tried to grab it 4 or 5 times and instead it was passed to anyone who could grow facial hair :D Anyways..for those Chicago fans circling the wagons:

Congratulations Blackhawks

Just so you know that congrats has an expiration date. Now that the season is over I can start dreaming about how good the Sabres will be, and what NHL 10 will look like with Ryan Miller on the cover.
