I have a thing for Bowies... Bill Bagwell forges some of the finest available.
What Bill likes to make best is his "Hell's Belle" model. This particular one has a 12" blade with a 3/8" thick spine, forged from his "Satan's lace" damascus... the cross guard and collar are also damascus as well. The birds head handle is carved from some nice African blackwood that is set with decorative pins. The Belle is a big and fairly hefty knife, but with the way Bill balances his knives, they are a pleasure to work with, an extension of your hand and will... as it were. They also have that attractive yet rough look of a Bowie from yesteryear.
