View Full Version : The Newark, New York & DC threat
I haven't read or heard this level of detail anywhere else yet, but it does sound as if the intel is very detailed, as is AQ's planning:
The government provided a wealth of detail that it had picked up in the past 36 hours, but a senior intelligence official described it only on condition of anonymity. The official described "excruciating detail" and meticulous planning "indicative of al-Qaida."
The official said the intelligence included security in and around these buildings; the flow of pedestrians; the best places for reconnaissance; how to make contact with employees who work in the buildings; the construction of the buildings; traffic patterns; locations of hospitals and police departments; and which days of the week present less security at these buildings.
article here (http://ap.tbo.com/ap/breaking/MGB2CPJIDXD.html)
Homeland Security just held a press conference on Fox News, to be followed shortly by the Governor of NY (and NJ as well I believe) The intel on these threats are quite viable and from multiple sources.
They have taken, once again, NDD's idea and have elevated the threat level in NY, NJ and DC as specific areas, buildings and businesses are targeted.

As a person who has 30 years living within 40 miles of NYC it pisses me off to end that states like North Dakota, Maine, Idaho and Wyoming get more homeland security dollars per capita than either NY or NJ. It's nice to know our politicians have used spending for National Security as yet another pork barrel slush fund. I guess i'll be avoinding NYC at least until after the RNC.

Or you can do as I do and make your travel plans irregardless of the spineless raghead islamic cowards.
Myself and my entire family will be traveling to NYC in a few months and the only fear I have is upon my return to Phoenix forgetting where I parked my car.

Sound like I picked a great time to fly to NY for a meeting in the headquarters of a major financial institution. LOL

I just spent the weekend in NYC
It was pretty obvious when we woke up on Sunday that things had changed
I was staying right near the UN building and we took a stroll by some of the places mentioned in the threat and we knew instantly something was up
Still I'd go back in a heartbeat and spend another weekend anytime

Check out the 9/11 commission report, it addressed this issue.

I didn't see this thread when I posted on the "Early Bird". Rather than I repeating myself you may see my thoughts over there. There are many possibilities.
