I watched this debate this morning. I was very impressed with the young guy, Rubio. I don't know anything about the race other than what was discussed in the debate, but I thought Rubio sounded like a pretty intelligent Conservative.

I get the feeling that Marco Rubio and Congressman Paul Ryan will be the face of the Republican party for the next 10-15 years. It's a welcome sight as I am not so sure I want to see men like Newt Gingrich and Tom Delay out front.

All I can say is come election time my vote will be with Rubio, not Crist. Though I have asked for a bumper sticker from them and they still have not sent it, even though I have donated a few dollars.:mad:

Marco Rubio spoke at a Friends of Scouting Fundraiser I attended a couple weeks ago. He only spoke for about 5 minutes, but that is all it took for him to get his message across and win over the crowd. I had a few minutes to talk to him before dinner and he really seems like a down to earth guy. He definitely appreciates the values Scouting believes in and the effort parents put into Scouting.
Iv'e never had the opportuity to work for a campaign before. I am definitely thinking about volunteering for his.

Somewhere else I posted this was the probable outcome. The next move will be to see if he'll be "pushed out" of the Republican party and then runs as an Independent.

I don't think the GOP should be in the business of pushing people out of the party. If they want to leave that is one thing but trying to run off moderate/RINO's is another. Charlie Crist isn't a bad man even if I disagree with him on some issues. The last thing the GOP needs is to turn this into a Ned Lamont race. When he gets beaten by Rubio let him go down with some dignity. Throwing him to the curb like yesterdays trash like the Dims did with Leiberman won't do anything to advance the party's interests even if it makes some feel better.
