Task Force Dagger Foundation

When a soldier is wounded and the family doesn't have the resources to get to their bedside, who does a commander go to for help? When the soldier has made the ultimate sacrifice and the family needs help getting key family members together? Who do they call? The Task Force Dagger Foundation is committed to helping families reach their loved ones to share the burdens of wounds and injuries as well as attending a funeral or memorial. The Task Force Dagger Foundation is committed to helping USASOC families in their time of need.

The Task Force Dagger Foundation was established to assist the needs of wounded special operations soldiers and their families in their time of need. To learn how you can assist the Task Force Dagger Foundation, click here. For more information on the Task Force Dagger Foundation, click here.

Why the Task Force Dagger Name? Task Force Dagger was the designation of the Special Forces elements that conducted the initial invasion into Afghanistan following the terrorist attack on the United States on September 11th, 2001. Task Force Dagger was comprised of elements from the US Army Special Operations Command (USASOC).
For more than forty years, USASOC units have been the tip of the spear in defending and protecting the United States. These warriors live in the shadows protecting the American way of life. Living by the motto of “The Quiet Professionals,” these soldiers deploy around the world working to keep Americans safe while keeping their presence unknown but to a few. The significance of USASOC and our nation’s special operations capability was brought to the forefront when Muslim extremists attacked the US on September 11th, 2001.
During Operation Enduring Freedom, elements of USASOC deployed to Afghanistan and routed the Taliban forces in a few short weeks by working with such Afghan elements as the Northern Alliance in a classic use of force multiplication and pressing an unconventional war against an enemy who shielded the forces responsible for the 9/11 attacks. As the United States and her Allies face an asymmetrical enemy that is adaptable and ever changing, the use of Special Operations Forces (SOF) will become greater.

Saw it mentioned on lightfighter and didn't see it here already so
Surefire has made a custom laser engraved version of their Echo fixed blade knife as a fundraiser for the Task Force Dagger Foundation (http://www.taskforcedagger.org/). The Echo has an MSRP of $310, but to raise money for the TFDF they're making these available for $150, $25 of which will be donated to the Foundation. There are 1,000 of them available. Here's an opportunity to get a Steve Ryan-designed fixed blade for a smokin' deal and raise money for a worthy cause. Click the link to be taken to the page on Surefire's website to place your order. Thanks all! The Knife (http://www.surefire.com/TFDF?utm_source=TFDF&utm_medium=banner&utm_campaign=TaskForceDaggerFoundation)
