Had to share this. Today I met a poser. Not any kind of poser mind you, but a RECRUITER poser. When I asked this guy what unit he was with, he told me he worked for a recruiting station I happen to have the number for in my phone. They don't know who he is. As I am challenging why he is wearing the ACU without the rank on his chest (claimed it fell off), he is taking the ignition out of a car in the parking lot. I didn't even get as far as asking why he wasn't wearing the USAREC badge.
Maybe you law enforcement folk can explain this part to me. I called the police, and they ask me "is it his car?". How the heck am I supposed to know? We have a poser playing with wires under the steering wheel and I'm supposed to know if it is his car!? They seemingly grudgingly sent somebody out, and fortunately it was his car, however when they asked if he was in the military he said no, but he was a vet. Scared to lie to the police?
Bet he wasn't expecting the cops to show up - and he better think twice before claiming to be something, recruiter or anything else, that he isn't.
There had been a lady with him, driving another vehicle, who seemed nervous as soon as I started talking to him. When I confronted him after talking to the recruiting station, she made up a new recruiting station (in the town I live in.. again not smart). He told her to shut up, and as soon as I called the police she took off in a hurry. Gee, did your boy friend lying about being in the service nearly get you busted for something?
Scumbags.
