Penn,, What age group would you suggest??

From the list of actors and the pictures of the costumes, it looks like it's geared for the HS crowd,, or older.

Actually I always thought Charles Lutwidge Dodgson was a mushroom smoking hippie and the story was about one of his cross-dressing trans-gender drug induced nightmares.

That being said,, I was a child of the 60t's and admit to being a bit jaded...

JJ, because the movie is truly a spectacular visual experience all age groups will be mesmerized. There were families with children as young as 8 in the theater. Couple of interesting side notes, no one talked or left their seat during the film, no one spoke during the film, the audience applauded at the end of the film.

Some older kids came in costume, so I see this film, as some films have in the past, culturally impacting the mood of the country, possibly influencing fashion and as you so adeptly expressed, people will be throwing down like they were raised in the sixties and are now living the dream at 25^ latitude .

The show is a brilliantly executed, see this movie without the little help from your friends you don't want to wake up feeling like Bad Blake....

I just saw the movie this afternoon. I really liked it. People considering going should know that it is not a remake of the animated film but rather a sequel.

Saw it this afternoon at a matinee( not 3D)....good thing. While the visuals are quite good, as was Depp's acting, it was painfully to have to sit through the whole thing. I thought it was slow and dragged on. I wouldn't recommend it to adults or those with little ones as there are a few parts some might not want their wee ones to see. Save your money.
