Because it is a joke - a playback on Reid's comment about unemployment and projecting it to Reid's possible employment next year.

You know that I am not the touchy feely female type that gets offended by much and I can find humor in a lot of things. Spousal abuse is not one of them.

Tweeting reminds me of 7th Graders farting in public -- the long, wet, rips.
A 7th Grader will smile and then try to burp. Everyone else has nothing else to do but giggle. Then the smell hits them, and it's EU!
BTW nothing like unemployment in tough times to strain a marriage. It's worse when the UE follows being deployed. We sent 70 soldiers over 40 were married. We're tracking 12 pending divorces. (Chaplin, and the State FRG coordinator and I were talking at the re-Integration. Said the Chaplin, "And we thought it was going to be better when they came home . . ."
It really is not something to joke about. Guys, take advantage of the available counselling; do the Strong Bonds weekends.
Now the Super Bowl correlation , that's crap.
