$180 for a $39.95 BBI Action figure! Anyone wants an office ornament, I still have cases of this stuff left.......and it's cheap, cheap.

This guy had a place at Benning while I was down there. Its a bit more than just the stock action figures I believe (although he could of course be marking those up as well). The idea is that you take him pictures of yourself from deployment or whatever and he makes a copy. Down to the dirt on your knees, mag pouches, correct gloves, eye wear, tape around cords and straps, the whole nine.

Those custom guys do some cool stuff mixing and matching sets. But even on the box stock items the detail is insane. It's can be a fun business/hobby talking to interesting people and you can make some nice pocket change....'if' you enjoy dealing with the lunitic collectors and staying indoors as well.

Here's the son's favorite 3, a Factory Set plus one old school

BBI has been surpassed for some time now by a Hong Kong based company called hot toys. They produce some of the most detailed action figures around.

Link: http://www.hottoys.com.hk/index.php?target=products&product_id=495

And check out their website: http://www.hottoys.com.hk/

Their "military" figures are top draw and actually got them the sort of reputation they now have which is one of the best in the world...so I am told.

You heard right, they are a step up. When BBI began limiting releases Hottoys took off. Just prior to Hottoys BBI was making highly detailed exclusives for a particular company, which in the end I believe became Hottoys.

All I know for sure is they all come from China/Hong Kong and they must have small hands for that minute detail.
