I got this from my former boss this morning.
SFC(R) Terry Caldwell, SF medic, Viet Nam vet with 5th SFGA, and former member of 5/19 SF, died in his sleep while working as a contractor in Iraq. He was flown to Dover, DE, autopsied last week and arrived back in TX to his wife on Thu. He will be laid to rest on Wed 3 Feb at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
5th Bn will host a memorial airborne operation in his name on Fri. 5 Feb on DZ Bug Eater just east of the Watkins Armory from 0900 - 1030 followed by a service from 1300 - 1400 to enshrine his beret, dog tags and a memorial coin all of which will be jumped during the drop. An SF memorial wake will be held at Lulu's from 1430 - 1600. All are welcome and encouraged to attend to commemorate the life of our friend and colleague
RIP Terry. I miss you already
