BROADER COALITION ?
I am waiting for John Kerry to explain what he means by saying, as President, he would broaden the International Coalition in Iraq and would restore the relationships with our allies, that President Bush has destroyed.
Tell me Mr. Kerry, just which nations would you use to broaden the Coalition? The vast majority of the member countries in the United Nations can barely support themselves and most couldn’t without American aid. Most of the countries, capable of doing so, are already in the coalition, so that leaves France, Germany, Russia and China and the UN itself. Now, Mr. Kerry which of these do you plan on having in your new and broader Coalition?
With the apparent involvement of these countries and the UN, in the payoffs and kick-backs from the UN run “Oil for Food” Program, do you now propose Mr. Kerry, that we allow them to dip their paws into the rebuilding program for Iraq? “If you don’t learn from history, you are bound to repeat it.” Additionally, all four of these UN member nations refused to take action against Iraq and publicly stated they would never sign a resolution calling for the use of force against Iraq. I guess we now know why!
As for the strained relationships with our “Former” Allies, when have the relationships with these nations ever been cordial? Remember when DeGaulle ordered all American and NATO forces out of France and withdrew from NATO? None of them have ever repaid their World War II debts to this country, and they have always been jealous of the United States, and done everything they can to bring us down. Was it us who caused the strain in relationships. Our President went to the International Body and asked them to please enforce their own resolution and it was these four countries that flatly refused and brought about the President’s decision to defend the American people rather than wait on a tyrant to do something. If they are our friends, we don’t need any enemies.
Mr. Kerry, if you continue your tirades, and rhetoric about such things, you should change your Campaign Theme Song to: “What Kind of Fool Am I”.
