This is a rifle that was built for an article published in Tactical Shooter magazine in April 2000. The rifle fires a 30 caliber cartridge based on the 338 Lapua casing that was developed at Remington's Ilion NY research department. Loading is very easy and all that is required is neck sizing of 338 L. brass.

The rifle was built using a M24, 5R barrel that was fitted by Jim Steckl (retired Remington Research engineer). It has a H-S stock, Near mount, Smith Enterprises rings, M24 trigger, M24 steel trigger-guard, and a Leupold Mk4, 16X, M1 scope (mil-dot reticle).

Interested folks can PM me with a good email address and I'll send a copy of the article that fully describes the gun and ballistic performance.

Starting price is $3500 but I may entertain offers.
