View Full Version : Support Role
Gentlemen,
I am currently in ROTC and will commission in May as a Medical Service Officer. My question is if there are any support roles for Med Service Officers at the group level.
Thank you for you time.

I have thoroughly searched and I have only found mention of Signal, MI, Chem, Medical Specialty, and a few other branches serving in a support function. Sorry if I have overlooked any threads but I could not find anything specific to Medical Service officers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There used to be a Medical Section (about PLT size) under the HHC - SEC CDR was MSC - also had an MD, DD, DVM, and dispensary staff assigned.
Contact the SORB and ask them - if you're looking for an answer from Francis the Talking Mule, it's always best to go to the end with the teeth. ;)

Thank you very much, Ill definitely look into those sources. All I know of the Army is cadet land and a few schools so any information is greatly appreciated. Have a good Holiday everyone.

From what I've read from these "young tigers" and their posts, they are pretty damn smart book wise but awfully lacking in street wisdom...
If you think I'm wrong lay it on me!!! ;)

It's just that, for most of their young lives, they are very used to being "spoon fed" and would rather ask and have it answered for them than find it themselves. They are not used to the response, "Go look it up" that I got from my mom or dad.
