This is the LT that refused to deploy with his unit. First trial was mistrial, then media got ahold of it, add liberal Seattle, THEN some bullshit about not being able to re-charge him under constitution for double jepardy....BS
If you commit a crime, say, rob a bank while on active duty, you can do your civil time, then the Army can choose to put you BACK in jail, and they can charge you with conduct unbecoming. UCMJ says that.
This guy should become an Al Quida love toy.

Sorry guys, this just chaffes my hide

Why start a new thread?

This horse is already well-flogged elsewhere.

From Wikipedia:

Watada's mother, Carolyn Ho, has become an anti-Iraq War activist. The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported that she founded a website to support Watada, formerly at http://www.thankyoult.org.

Watada's father, Bob, also became a critic of the war and went on a national tour to raise money for his son's defense, from October 26 to November 17. Ehren Watada was on hand to speak, and shared the stage with other prominent critics of the war, including Jane Fonda, Sean Penn, and Tim Robbins, at the January 27, 2007 anti-war protest in Washington, D.C.

Ehren Watada, may you live forever.

Interstingly enough, the local news media / ACLU asked members of the Nisei Veterans Committee up in Seattle to speak on his behalf.

They are veterans of the 100th/442nd RCT / MIS. After the local news media / ACLU heard their thoughts, the offer was withdrawn :D

I wonder why ;)
