Gentlemen, it's been a long time.

I couldn't find an answer to this question on the net, so here it is. Does 19th or 20th use non-tabbed Physician assistants on their B-teams?

I left 19th Grp on good terms- just wondering if anyone had heard of this? Had a fellow PA buddy from Utah (tabbed) tell me that it happens, depending on who you know...? Thank you in advance.

Though it is preferred for the PA's to be tabbed, it is not a requirement.
Even PA's in the Active Duty Groups aren't all tabbed.

There are relativlely few tabbed PA's left. Between restricttons on TIS that have been generated by the Medical Specialist Corps (PA Branch) and the OPTEMPO of Groups preventing the pre-requisites from being accomplished in a timely manner for potential PA's, the candidates have become few. Add to that, the pool of prior ENLISTED PA applicants has shrunk considerably as upwards of 40% of PA Students are now former Commissioned Officers (MISTAKE IMHO:boohoo)
Even those of us who ARE tabbed have a hard time getting BACK to Group - I was offered THREE different jobs on my way through Bragg prior to this deployment by the USASOC SGN's Office...but my current parent unit "Absolutley will not consider letting you go - you are simply too valuable".
Same thing my LAST unit said:rolleyes:

If I were a shitbag, I would have been cut loose a long time ago :D
