JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Sunday was Military Appreciation Day at the Jaguars game, and one young man received the surprise of a lifetime when his father returned from a 6-month deployment overseas.
Major Kevin Becar of the Florida National Guard appeared on the JumboTron in a taped message during the first quarter of Sunday's game. He said hello to his family overseas and wished the Jaguars well. Then, to everyone's surprise, he ran out of the tunnel and greeted his son Brandon who jumped into his father's arms as he shed some tears of joy.
After the game, the Becar family was standing on the field near the tunnel where the Jaguars were exiting, and Brandon was thrilled when he received a game-worn glove from Maurice Jones-Drew.
