Watched much of it (skipped most of the 9/11 conspiracy stuff).
My thought:
There is a big difference between a bald-faced lie and a counterfeit.
A well designed counterfeit will be difficult to discern from truth, as that is the point.
I would have some questions for whomever put together this film:
-Therefore I should do what?
-Why should I?
-How do I know that you're not using propaganda to manipulate me?

OK, I watched some of it in the background as I did other stuff.
Zeitgeist is the activist arm of the Venus project run by some guy in Florida. He wants the world to give up money so that people can focus on sustainable living and development, not profit. Profit drives people to exploit other people - the haves and the have nots. His theory is that everyone can have what they need if the powerful elite would just stop grabbing it all.
So it's propaganda for the guy's point of view. He also seems to be a real estate developer.
The movie is quite a piece of work. Sadly, probably plays well outside the US.

I think this concept was originally called communism. We know how well that's worked - suppresses free will, does not take in human nature nor encourage/reward excellence. All it would do is breed more mediocrity because too many people will see no need to be productive and choose to live on the shoulders of others. Just go to your local housing project for an example. There are plenty of people there happy to live on government assistance in a tiny cinder block home, but somehow can afford a $40,000 car and $500 cell phone...
Good point - the film is a very elaborate piece of gray misinformation to attract people toward communism / socialism. Or maybe some deep black weird stuff from Soros.
Ayn Rand offers the counter-argument, articulated so effectively and at great length, in Atlas Shrugged.
