You got a quail problem in your crib?

Hey man, a hi brass #8 or 9 field load from across a living room or down a hall should take care of damn near anything you could need to shoot inside your own home. With the small pellets being less likely to go through more than one layer of wallboard, much less anyone on the other side of the wall.

Ok, ok, no need to yell at me. I meant crib as in home, not as in baby crib.

I second the Lemas.

The weapons would be for pistol 9mm and .45, and the shotgun is a remington 870 and a super benelli 90m3

If you would please, what would be the operational requirements of safety rounds for in house, and how would that be compared to the operational requirements of ammuntion for serious social work?

Let me rephrase.

At what distance do you anticipate using the shotgun?

I've been carrying/shooting .45 ACP hydrashoks, but I see that the APLP/Lemas is highly favored.

Is there a way to purchase a lot of this ammunition for carry?

Good question Alex,

TR, APLP, or Guy would best be able to answer that one. Gents?

I will defer to APLP on who he can sell to.

A non-AP enhanced civilian version of the ammo is marketed by RBCD, IIRC, their site is www.rbcd.net

APLP may also be able to speak on the legalities of the ammo, but I do not believe that any of the versions fall under the statutes regarding AP ammo.

HTH.

90 and 115 grain bullets in a .45?

Interesting...

Thanks for the link TR.

Interesting...

Thanks for the link TR.

I cannot say what the commercial loads will do, but from a 3.5" Para P12 at 7 yards, every round of the 90gr. LeMas will cleanly hole a 1/4" hardened aluminum armor plate, or a 11 ga. Stainless steel panel.

FYI, 230 gr. Hydrashock will barely make a mark on the aluminum, and will moderately dent, but not penetrate the stainless.

Good stuff!

I was reading some of the testimonials on their site, and it looks to be very popular among the professionals.

Now to find a stocking dealer....

I have posted these before, but here is the LeMas and Hydrashok shots on aluminum armor, from the Para P-12 3.5" barrel.

HTH explain better.

I'm a believer. I wish I could purchase some of this stuff. Too bad former military don't count as end users. :(

NO....thank goodness the APLP/LeMas guys are on our side ...that is some scary stuff from a 9mm...cut through that armor like a hot knife through butter.

Works fine for me. Are you running it in Windows Media Player?

Can you check in on the Intros thread and let us know a little about you, as requested in the board rules?

Thanks mate.

Living in the country I fully expect my Larue 308 to go through just about any wall in my house and I'm actually relying on that if the situation warrants it. I know home better than any intruder and if he hides behind a wall in just the right places during a gun battle he's toast.

Thanks for the reply! I have fixed the video problem and have viewed it multiple times now (impressed more and more every time I see it)

Ill get on to the intros ASAP!

FWIW, I have repeated the test myself with the same armor and a 3.5" barrel .45ACP with 230 gr. Federal Hydrashoks and the LeMas rounds.

The results were identical. No penetration with the Hydrashoks, complete penetration with the LeMas, every time.

It truly is incredible bullet technology!

Are LeMas still manufacturing the AP rounds?

Do you have other videos on testing of this ammo?

Since of the rounds is much less, is the recoil reduced as well? (particularly felt)

Increased velocity might have an effect...but I haven't touched any physics since high school.
