Something going on in NJ Governor race

I have lived in the Garden State since 1998 (this is my last year). In my 11 years I think I have been polled once or twice in regards to any state election. The times that I remember being polled it was always a news organization or a reputable pollster conducting the survey. Today I took three calls asking who I intended to vote for in a couple weeks and how likely I would be to vote. The three polls were conducted by the State Democratic party (a really obnoxious push poll), the DNC and Democracy Corps (James Carville's outfit). I wonder why all of the sudden why the Dems are suddenly interested in my opinion.

I think it's obvious,, you get them the wrong answer and they called back to see if you changed.. :eek::mad::rolleyes::cool:

The NJ Governor’s race portents the coming congressional midterms, which we assume, hopefully, will end the Democratic majority in congress. I think as much as we complain about the gridlock in congress, we prefer it rather than the one party domination of congress. I think the founders intended to make it difficult for the elected to force feed the public a diet of abuse and pork. I now think of it in terms of a federal judicial appointment; if one is approved after enough filibustering to make one insane, than that nominee must has been acceptable to both parties. My 88 year old uncle likes to say: if it’s a Democrat, I vote republican in the next election, keeps them honest…..

I use this technique often on none Federal ballots, local judges, county commissioners, school board, etc, for the same reason.

When you look closely at the hi-archey of politics and apply the principle of "The Cream Floats to the Top".

It becomes obvious that the bottom to the pirimid needs to be stirred up and invigorated on a regular basis..

Keeps the stink down and allows some fresh air to penetrate the regions that otherwise would stagnate with the burden of being less than the cream of the crop..

With one exception. If I like the county sheriff, I don't care what party he sides with,, A great lawman is non-party affiliated..

When I see a race with a Libertarian against a Dem or a Repub (but not all three), I vote for the Libertarian.

I really wish they were competitive at the higher levels.

I think the Dims are scared, trying their worst dirty tricks, and are in for a great big freakin' surprise.

Hopefully, the health care and cap and trade bills will be stalled till after the elections, and they will see what the future portends if they stay on their far left course.

I think the Founders were smarter than most give them credit for.

The Key was the Appointment of Senators. They worked for the state and could be replaced by the state.

Ever since direct election the Senators have been for sale to the highest bidder.
