I saw this featured on Fox this morning and it reminded me of when I worked on Extreme Home Makeover. They take donations of money, supplies and man power...tax deductible. This morning they featured a house being built for a disabled veteran who lost his legs due to injuries in the war. Houses are built for servicemen and women with serious disabilities and injuries.
The sites features homes, events for fundraising, request for assistance, etc.

So many people talk about how they "support the troops" and "thank them", volunteering for something like this is a great way to do those things. I wish I had heard about this organization sooner.
