Tiramisu would top the list, I am not a big candy eater but if the mood is right nothing beats Peter Paul Almond Joy.

Frozen custard (from Sheridan's) is the big one for the hot summer months.

Anything lemon, especially lemon scones or lemon meringue pie.

or

My oft requested, impossible to duplicate, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies that contain secret ingredients. Oh yeah crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside.

Try not to eat candy much, but if I do it's dark chocolate.

Tub of caramel corn from Walgreens, (I'm a cheap date). Brachs raspberry hard candies, only available during the christmas season and that sucks.

rum and dried mangos. Or...dried mangos soaked in rum, but that's almost too sweet. Chicks around here seem to dig it though.

Brownies - my recipe
Lemon Squares - from the Green Thumb cookbook
Jolly Ranchers - apple flavored

I rarely have sweets at home, and when I bake brownies or lemon squares, it is usually to fill a request from my sons, friends or pen pals.

Let me add:

Candies: Sweetarts, spree, tart 'n tinys, starburst, mike n ikes, salt water taffy; basically any fruit-flavored sugary candy except true hard candy.

Desserts: Bananas foster, blueberry cheesecake, apple pie, fruit tarts.

And Catwoman make the best blueberry cheese pie anyone will ever eat! :)

The horror! How could I have forgotten cheesecake? Turtle cheesecake, original New York style cheesecake, any berry cheesecake, and no doubt there are others I have not tried. I treat myself to cheesecake annually and have a few months to discover a new flavor to try.

Catwoman - care to share the recipe?

Chocolate blackout cake from Carson's in Chicago (Gypsy will know what I'm talking about), home made chocolate chip cookies, brownies, or 7 layer bars, and tiramisu.

TR A combination of my favorite sweets.

Did anyone keep the recipe?

Negative, but it had an crushed chocolate cookie (Oreo?) crust, was iced with a light chocolate (cocoa?) frosting between the layers, with a glaze of melted chocolate over the top, a dollop of whipped cream on that, with dark chocolate grated over the cream and a wedge of dark chocolate stuck in the top.

Pretty sinful stuff.

For those who have tried it, anyone care to peruse this recipe and/or test it for similarity? This could make the cut for my birthday cheesecake search.

Yumm yes it's good, but I think my favorite chocolate cake (that isn't made by me ;) ) is Momma's chocolate cake at Portillo's of all places. OMG!

Have to say the cake TR described sounds devilishly delicious though.

Nothing Personal, Just a preemptive strike.

There may not have been any Sock Monkey References, But the Possibility existed that the People's regime could have developed Sock Monkey references under the noses of the UN Sock Monkey Reference Inspectors:D
