Forgive me but, "Unchained Melody,by Al Hibler" is an oldie but goodie

You and I and maybe three others are the only ones that knows who Al Hibler was. Along with Ivory Joe Hunter, Jackie Wilson, Sam Cooke, Santo and Johnny and more.

Guess that what comes with being a F.O.G.

Now the "Ink Spots" I know along with "Sam Cooke" and "Jackie Wilson".

I was just hitting the mid-to-late 1960's and early 70's.:p This is for those who were assigned to Vietnam, young, and new who new the "Top 40" records back in the USA. If you'd like, please, post your favorites from back then.:munchin

The late 60s early 70s wasnt really my cup of tea, although I did have some favorites. One was a Burt Bacharac song-Baby Its You. Made famous by the Shirelles. Im more partial to Smith's version though. Gayle McCormick has a dynamite voice. Also at the time, and I probably still do, think she was sexy as hell.

Time Of The Season-The Zombies
The Boxer-Simon and Garfunkel
Its To Late-Carole King

The original is - indeed - classic...and here's the neo-classic to which I've become enamored of late. Enjoy.
