It seems to me that declassifying stuff like this is a really bad idea. Why disclose to the enemy what our methods are? Am I wrong?

Our media at work.

They are worth several Divisions to the enemy and cost us untold lives and dollars over the past 40 years.

I'm certainly no expert but I hate seeing this made public at all. Stuff has to be done to extract information and save the lives of our Troops...and get the BGs.

Great.

Let's tell the Rat bastards exactly how we come at them so the Bad guys can train up.

Next the media wil be asking "why aren't we getting any good intel?".

Hugh Exactly! The same assholes that want everything declassified are the ones crying about why couldn't we stop 9-11. It's crap like this, for one.

Yes, I understand that we are supposed to be a free and open society. It doesn't help our cause (or our security) though, when we tell the bad guys all of our secrets.

Even with the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), I think that sometimes we just have to say "Sorry, but that's classified".
