Has anyone read "Warplanes of the Third Reich" by William Green? If you have, can anyone recommend a comparable book for the US Army Air Corps during WWII?
Just recently found a copy at a yard sale for $5 and was completely blown away by the sheer comprehensiveness of this incredible reference guide of the Luftwaffe during WWII. Learned about aircraft I had never even heard of! Ex: Dornier Do-335, (glad that beast arrived too late!) the Arado Ar-234, (the ME-262 gets all the press, but the 234 was also deployed, but never shot down) and the Junkers Ju-390, which successfully completed a roundtrip test flight from France to within 12 miles of NYC in Jan 1944.
Therefore, if anyone can recommend a US equivalent, I would greatly appreciate it.
