Here is the article if anyone wants to read all the info: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30608210/
I read that yesterday and was happy to hear some good news.
The kids shoe was missing and his pull up was off as well, obviously so he could use the shoelace and sneaker for making animal traps, and his pull up was used for holding food.
Tough little guy.

Yep, the little guy is probably future SF material,
but.......
the fact he was LOST, wouldn't that make him future Officer material as well? Just wandering away from home and all that.

He actually had a compass but he can't read yet.:D
I have a son that age. I apparently have been slacking on his professional development. Duly noted...;)

He probably made the fatal mistake of insisting that his compass was wrong :P
Great story!

They asked the little guy what he wanted to be when he grows up and he said I want to graduate from SFQC so I can join the PS forum as a QP and of course take over Team Sergeant's job because by that time he'll be to old to handle it.:p:eek::rolleyes:
(That last part took a lot of guts,so I'm looking for some help here guys).

My guess is that the kid was doing a recon for possible cache sites in the local area, hence he had to accomplish this under the cover of darkness.
He's using "I got lost" as a "cover for action" in the hopes that no one goes looking for his multiple cache emplacements. Smart kid.

More often than not, a story like this does not have a happy ending. Which is why it made my whole weekend when I read this story. The little guy definitely has a hearty constitution to be able to survive his ordeal. I'll bet his parents have not let him out of their sight since they got him back. My hat is off to all of those people who volunteered to look for him. I read the guy who found him had taken a day off of work to volunteer. Proof positive that one person really can make a difference.
