"Specter lashed back Wednesday, strongly suggesting he had been betrayed.

In a statement released Wednesday afternoon, Specter said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., had promised him that his seniority would be preserved."

serves you right specter!

For a moment, consider that Specter is a GOP covert point man. Specter defects being promised re-election with support from "on high". After defection, the democratic " on high support " turns into a Gladius in the back, or just another bus rolling down the street. Specter exposes the Curs for what they are. Specter goes on the be a beloved national hero..........On the other hand..............

Specter has probably reaped what he has sowed. Good day for Tom Ridge....unless the above turns out to be true.

The real justice would be if the voters in PA betray him at the poles the next election. The self serving ass-wipe.

No, not the candy bar. :D

I can't believe he's surprised...I do believe the far left would eat their own young.

"I conclusively misspoke." - Sen. Arlen Specter

Yes you did Senator, yes you did.
I hope your bed is comfortable, it would seem your new 'team mates' can't wait to make you sleep in it.

And, we all know that Harry "Pinky" Reid is a man of honor.

Here in PA Arlen Sphincter has long lost all credibility in both parties. As far as him being relegated to the "Junior" Senator from PA. Couldnt happen to a nicer guy. Sleep well, Arlen.

He did this for his own personal reason....... reelection. Now he is seen as the true phony that he is. Better get on the "Murtha" plan soon and start sending millions of pork to PA. He may be forgiven then?

Funny how things repeat themselves. I've listened to historians speak of how they believe many schools and towns would have been named in honor of an American hero, Benedict Arnold. However, things got a little personal between him and congress, so in order of self interest, he turned his back on an oath of allegiance and went to the other side. It appears the other side didn't think that much of him either. It's kind or hard for anyone to be able to trust a person who turns their back to those they swore to stand with.

And specter has done it twice now. What does that say about him....he is in it for himself, and no one else. He does what is expedient, not what is right.
