Warrior-Mentor

It’s been nearly three years since an improvised explosive device ended Keith Zeier’s career as a Marine. Doctors told him he would have to use a can to walk for the rest of his life.
Refusing to accept the doctor’s grim assessment, Keith pushed the limits of his rehabilitation, ignoring the pain and refusing to give in to despair.
Keith’s rehabilitation has come so far that he is ready to pay tribute to the Marines who fell beside him in combat and the Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman who helped save his life and the lives of so many others while risking their own lives in the heat of battle.
His tribute is to take on one of the ultimate tests of human endurance, a 100-mile footrace from Key Largo to Key West in the stifling heat and humidity of Florida, May 16th.
Keith also is using the Keys 100 to raise money for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports the military's special operations community. Its programs include college educations to surviving children of fallen Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps special operations personnel and immediate financial assistance to severely wounded special operators.
It was the Special OperationsWarrior Foundation’s $2,000 grant that made it possible for his mother to travel to his bedside after he was severely wounded.
