This disgusts me on every level. I don't see how anyone can think that WE should be tolerant of things like this or negotiate with the taliban.

I agree with you 2charilie, unfortunately, there are those that would be apologists for such extremists because 1. those apologists aren't living in that world; 2. the apologists see those people as uneducated therefore they don't know any better; 3. "they" are misunderstood. IMO those apologists are more ignorant than those they make apologies for because they make the concious decision to walk through life deaf and blind instead of seeing the harsh reality of this religion!
The article stated that the taliban is using this video and crimes such as these as a means of psychological warfare to instill fear in those that do not comply and to keep the majority silent and compliant. If anything, these barbarous acts should make people rise up and say "we aren't going to take this"...make them fight back. But I guess I am living in my own utopian world by thinking that way. It's sad but lemmings WILL continue to dive off the cliffs!
