OK, Found one of these headwraps in the sale bin at work and at $1.00, it was too good to pass up(My name is Blake and I am a Gearaholic:rolleyes: )

After the initial,"Wow, Cool" phase, reality dawned on me. I have not the slightest idea how to attempt to wear one of these things. Brigade Quartermaster has an instruction sheet on their website, but I tried to follow it and ended up completely backwards and cursing them. I am hereby requesting the assistance of anyone who has the slightest idea of how to make this work.

Damn, It's bad when you get outsmarted by a square piece of cloth that has been used in this manner for hundreds if not thousands of years by desert nomads.

Thanks all.

Blake

LOL - I did exactly the same thing as the before pic. "Instructions? I don't need no damn instructions to tie a rag around my head, I'm a medic, Army spent millions teaching me to tie pretty bandages."

I got it down pretty good now. JIHADITO!

Blake, we're gonna need a pic of The Monkey with the JIHADITO! rag on. Sorry.

And don't even try that "I don't have The Monkey any more."

No dice on the Monkey wearing the JIHADITO! rag, The rag is about 5 times bigger than the Monkey.

Which brings me to another point; if you will direct your attention to the photo below, everyone should be able to plainly see the difference between a Sock bear/Sock Monster as mentioned elsewhere on this board, and a Sock Monkey as the Sock Monster has been erroneously referred to.

The Sock Monster is seen on the left, the Sock Monkey on the right.

That is all

You will notice that the Sock Monkey on the right has a tail while the Sock Bear/Monster does not. You will also notice that the Sock Bear/Monster has significantly more wear than the Sock Monkey, this wear came from, "Ditching the Woobie for a '60" I believe was the term used previously. And yes, Significant searching was required to find the Sock Monkey in the attic.

Well, Stud, your Sock Monster/Sock Puppet appears to have a severe case of diaper rash, and looks like some other creature chewed it up or gummed it pretty good.

It's a twenty year old Stuffed animal for christ sake! As for color choices, I agree with you, whoever made the damn thing had piss poor taste.

Love the choke marks around the neck and tail!

Glad that you decided to keep it into your adult years and share it with us.

Didn't ambush master teach you about simple tactics like "recon by fire"? You walked right into that ambush Air.177. HaHa

Now look at the mess you made, you gave out more pics of not only the sock monkey but an otherwise unidentified sock bear too, AND you gave evidence that you STILL have them at arms reach now. You almost sounded offended that we didn't know how to tell them apart. LOL

ROTFLMAO:p

I was not the one to start this. This was started without my Knowledge and without my Consent. When I first became aware of the whole situation, I was already forced to be on the defensive.

No since denying or lying about anything, Slick Willie did teach us all that little lesson. The sock BEAR on the left in the pic was the one in the earlier pic of my childhood. The Sock MONKEY on the right in the pic was found in my younger sibling's Stuffed animal collection and was presented to illustrarte the difference between a Sock BEAR and a Sock MONKEY as some here were obviously lacking in their Sock animal Identification skills.

One more thing: The first pic to bring this topic up featured Me, before I could even read, sitting behind a belt fed Machine gun; and you folks thought that the only thing a little out of the ordinary was the fact that a 3 year old had a stuffed animal.
WTF??

Oh, And I Don't take no Lip from No Jawbreaker:p

Does any particular color symbolize anything or translate into any customs?
