The caption on the AKO picture says:
Soldiers portraying noncommissioned officers throughout the Army's history take part in a Joint Multinational Training Command ceremony marking 2009 as the 'Year of the NCO,' in Grafenwoehr, Germany, Feb. 26. (Photo by Spc. Gerald Wilson)
My question is "Where did they find these little tiny people?"

Dozer,
Two options:
1. Grade school
2. The Land of Oz.
Since this is Europe, # 2 above works for me.:D

The NCO wearing ACU's and body armor is one sorry looking soldier...!
Shouldn't he have passed a height, weight, and tape test before representing a Non Commissioned Officer in such a ceremony that is suppose to be depicting how great the United States Army's leading representative's are?!?!
What ever happened to using a poster child for such an event?
What are the North Koreans gonna think? At least the Army feeds their soldiers well, that's what they'll think...
Can anyone make out what the solider in tigers is wearing on his/her head?
My question is "Where did they find these little tiny people?"
It could be an optical allusion??
If the photog has a 28MM equivalent lens and kneeled on the floor next to the troop on the end in ACU, by shooting up-angle he/she would magnify this close end and skew the other end.. I'd bet the 4th and 6th persons are almost the same height as the guy in ACU??
You need a better perspective... :D
It's something I like to play with...
